The fall in the level of public consumption is a clear indicator of a crisis in the economic sector. To overcome the decreasing level of public consumption, the government has established various policies in order to alleviate and help people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study is to find out the concept of social assistance distribution for people affected by Covid-19 from an Islamic perspective which is also part of the government's social safety net policy to reduce the impact of Covid-19. The method used in this research is library research, research carried out using literature in the form of books, notes, and reports of previous research results related to government policies in overcoming the impact of Covid-19 and the distribution of social assistance from an Islamic perspective. Based on the results of research conducted, the distribution of social assistance to relieve the public from the impact of Covid-19 is still not optimal. And based on the concept of distribution according to an Islamic perspective, the provision of social assistance from the government to the community is an obligation that must be carried out and the distribution of social assistance for people affected by Covid-19 must be fair, namely that the distribution should not only be to a handful of people but must reach those who has the right according to Islamic law to receive it.
